If you own a 240 and have ever experienced a trunk lid (boot lid in some other parts of the world) that refuses to stay up,
this little invention will make you smile.  

  Many 240 trunk lids have difficulty staying up on their own.  If you added a spoiler to the lid, all hope might have been LOST!
No longer!
Before I found this item, I bought a new set of trunk springs. It helped some, but not enough. 
I discovered that new springs were really not much better than the old ones.

This simple custom-made device solves the problem.

No Drilling. Simple bolt on. Only a few minutes to install on any 240 trunk lid.  Once installed, it's simple to operate....       1. Open the trunk...       2. Turn the spring loaded pin one quarter turn, any direction...       3. Your trunk lid hinge is now LOCKED in the upright position. That's it! To close the lid, simply pull the pin and turn again one quarter turn in any direction.  The pin releases the lock and you can close the trunk lid normally.
